2024 - WJMF Zürich (CH)
The Frauenfeld Youth Music Orchestra took part in the World Youth Music Festival 2024 in Zurich. In the concert competition in the intermediate level category, 4th place was achieved out of 14 participating orchestras with 90.00 points, and in the parade music competition in the large category, 3rd place was achieved out of 4 orchestras with 87.00 points.
2023 - SJMF St. Gallen (CH)
On the weekend of 16/17. In September 2023, the Frauenfeld Youth Music Orchestra took part in the Intermediate Harmony category at the 18th Swiss Youth Music Festival in St. Gallen. With an average score of 89.67 points, the orchestra came third among the 19 orchestras.
2022/2023 - POP Santo 3 (CH)
After seven concerts in four different locations, PopSanto3, a music art work with light shows, ended on February 4th in St. Gallen. We look back on great concerts in churches that were filled to capacity. Many thanks to the PoPSanto team, the Wil Youth Orchestra, the Roxing Choir Wil, the Chrüz&Be Choir Wilen, all sponsors and supporting hands and to all concertgoers. PopSanto3 was an unforgettable experience for all of us.
2019 - SJMF Burgdorf (CH)
With an average of 95.17 points, the orchestra achieved first place in the intermediate level harmony category in the group of orchestras that performed in the Kulturhalle in Burgdorf, thereby winning a Swiss championship title for the second time in the club's history.
2018 - EYMF Sneek (NL)
The Frauenfeld Youth Music Orchestra took part in the European Youth Music Festival 2018. Between May 9th and 12th, the orchestra stayed in Sneek, Netherlands, and gave three concerts to an international audience. All participants will remember the accommodation, the location of the stages in the center of Sneek and the excellent atmosphere for a long time.
2017 - WJMF Zürich (CH)
The performance of the Frauenfeld Youth Music Orchestra in the category H3 concert competition at the WJMF in Zurich was a great success. With an average of 92.33 out of 100 points (93.33 points for the task piece and 91.33 points for the self-choice piece) 1st place was achieved.
2016 - EYMF Bilbao (ESP)
The Frauenfeld Youth Music Orchestra took part in the European Youth Music Festival.
Jugendmusik Frauenfeld is an association that educates children and young people in wind and percussion instruments as well as in musical interaction and contributes to the cultural offerings in the Frauenfeld region with its formations.
Every year the summer and winter concerts in Frauenfeld are fixed points in our club year. We also perform at various events in the Frauenfeld region and take part in competitions at home and abroad. In addition to the weekly rehearsals, social events such as the barbecue in the summer, the final evening before Christmas and music trips are also part of our club life.
The Jugendmusik Frauenfeld is run by a volunteer board and is under the professional musical direction of Thomas Fischer.
