The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Wil performs a wide variety of classical music ranging from Baroque to modern times. The current program includes music by English composer Benjamin Britten, Slovakian dances arranged by Alexander Mozi, the ARCO-PIZZICATO Suite by Hungarian composer Lajos Papp, works by Swiss composer Hans Zellweger, and "Zoosters Breakout" music from the film Madagascar by Hans Zimmer.

The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Wil was founded in 1981. Initially composed only of string instruments, it developed into a full orchestra in 1985. The orchestra performs two or three different programs each year. One of its recent highlights was serving as the orchestra for the music production Popsanto—a spectacular musical show with around 140 musicians, including a large choir, vocal soloists, and a four-member rock band, all supported by an impressive light show.
